The fifth generation of ‘The Boys’ spinoff series is getting its first college trailer

Amazon shared the first look at the upcoming “Gen V,” a collegiate spinoff of the popular Prime Video series “The Boys,” at CCXP in Brazil. The additions of Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert, and Jason Ritter to the cast were revealed in the preview, along with disturbing guest appearances from Jesse T. Usher, Colby Menifee, and PJ Byrne reprising their roles from “The Boys” as A-Train, Ashley Barrett, and Adam Burke on respectively.

“Gen V” explores the lives of the hormonal Supes who compete for the top rankings at America’s only college exclusively for young superheroes, run by Vought International, a major player in the main series. The first look at “Gen V” shows that the spin-off will be just as bloody as the original.

The show’s cast includes Jazz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Broadway’s Lizzie, Shelly Cohn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Loh, Asa German, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pegosi.

The original series, which stars the likes of Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, and more, was renewed for a fourth season in June. Generation Z was first ordered in September 2020.

Michelle Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers for this show. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neil H. Moritz, Uri Marmur, Pavon Shetty, Ken Levine, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darek Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Zack Schwartz, Erica Rosby, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers. Brant Engelstein serves as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television Studios and Amazon Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Gray Pictures, and Original Film. Lorelei Alanis serves as the Managing Director of Point Gray Pictures.

The show is set to debut on Prime Video in 2023. Check out our first look at “Gen V” below.
