The Witcher 3 has finally fixed the major complaints players have been facing since its launch

Seven years after its launch, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt It’s finally been updated to fix one of the biggest complaints players have had since the game’s initial release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The fix comes along with the next-gen version of the game coming later this month, but it is assumed that it will be rolled out in all versions, although this is not made clear.

If you’ve played the classic RPG, you’ll know that it has some shortcomings and annoying design choices. For example, there is a lot of fall damage in the game, which wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t so easy to fall, especially when using Roach. However, CD Projekt Red’s Acting Narrative Director/Lead Mission Designer Philip Weber has confirmed that the fall damage has been “adjusted”. Weber doesn’t say how much has been modified, but it should be a meaningful improvement if he feels the need to highlight it on Twitter.

Why this mod is being made so many years after the game was released isn’t clear, but hopefully it’ll go a long way in removing a few pesky cheap deaths.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt It’s due to hit PS5 and Xbox Series X | S on 14 December. It is currently playable on these devices via backwards compatibility and is natively available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
