Trevor Noah reveals his favorite World Cup team while talking about Saudi Arabia’s pride in their victory

Trevor Noah has been a World Cup fan since a young age and being a South African fan, he had to choose a different team now that his country had not made it to the knockout stage.

Chose Ghana

During the Daily Show, he talked about Ghana’s victory over South Korea, and members of the audience were quick to ask him which team he was rooting for.

“Who do I support in this World Cup? Ah, this is a tough game. Obviously, if South Africa isn’t in the World Cup, which they are most of the time, I immediately switch to Ghana. They are No. 1 for me. I’m happy they won the game.”

He stated that they did not really support the cause and were just joining the bandwagon instead of standing their ground regardless of the consequences.

At the last World Cup, he got some criticism about how angry the French ambassador was towards him when he said Africa won the World Cup.
