Justin Floy

Oregon quarterback Justin Floy is in the transfer gate, and his options to start his career include some heavy hitters.

Justin Floy had the potential to become the next big defensive star to come out of Oregon State when he signed with the Ducks in the class of 2020. Luck wasn’t on his side.

He tore the ACL as a true freshman on his debut. He had a very promising 2021 game, recording 14 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and a forced fumble against Fresno State…then he hurt his foot and had to miss the rest of the season.

The 2022 campaign should have finally been his success, but it didn’t turn out that way. The linebacker only started twice. His diminished role in Dan Lanning’s defense appears to have pushed him into the transfer gate.

So now there’s a former five-star prospect on the market and there will be no shortage of teams happy to give him a second chance.

Oregon LB Justin Flowe’s Top 3 Transfer Destinations

USC was a competitor to Justin Flowe as a recruiter

Flowe is from Southern California and there was a time when it looked like USC was losing. Obviously, they lost him when he chose Oregon State over the Trojans.

At the time, USC was in an uncertain location. Clay Hilton doesn’t exactly look like a championship-winning coach. Mario Cristobal Duck just won the Pac-12 and it looked like he was going to continue to climb while the Trojans stand where they are.

Times have changed for USC. Lincoln Riley is in charge and championship aspirations are back on the table. The thing that prevents Trojan horses? defense. especially? Play Linebacker.

Going to USC wouldn’t just be a homecoming for Flowe. It would be an opportunity to step right into a rudimentary task in a defense in need of serious playmakers.

And guess who is Fluy’s lead recruiter at Oregon State? USC Assistant Coach Donte Williams.
