MLB Insider’s Arson Judge bug is broken by fans: The best memes and tweets

The New York Post’s John Heyman chose the wrong platform to share some early news about Aaron Judge, and shared it so quickly that he made a colossal typo.

Jon Heyman is a trusted source in MLB, often sharing big news that is accurate and timely. This time, he’s hopped to the wrong platform, Twitter, to share that Aaron Judge is joining the San Francisco Giants.

While that’s usually good news, it backfired because it wasn’t true and he made a massive typo, renaming Aaron “Arson”.

He later shared that he had jumped the gun and that the Giants hadn’t quite heard from the judge yet.

Of course, Twitter users took the opportunity to turn it into a full-fledged meme, because they do it best. The results are truly comic gold.

Best “Arson Judge” memes and tweets

One user put his Photoshop skills to the test and succeeded with such flying colors that Judge’s photo in front of a house fire quickly became a Twitter favorite.

Bally Sports’ Pete Blackburn made a great reference to “Smokey the Bear,” calling him “the only arsonist” he knows.

Another user tweeted the judge into flames with a cute line reading, “Arson Judge.”

DraftKings remembers the time Savannah Bananas sent a player to beat his bat on fire, the real arson judge.

Professional wrestler The Undertaker originated, comparing Aaron Judge to his new persona, Arson.

Ben Verlander also referred to the new alter ego in reaction to the Yankees losing both of them.

Another great reference made to Zoolander.

FanDuel continued the WWE theme, noting that “Arson” is coming out of a burning box.

Talkin’ Baseball fired up Heyman, who tweeted a scene from Drake’s song Marvins room.

And, of course, jokes about Heyman being kicked out of the Winter Meetings also appeared.
