A full European encounter between Portugal and Switzerland in the World Cup Round of 16 concludes on Tuesday (December 6th) at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar. Here’s how to watch.
Portugal will play Switzerland on Tuesday in the final round of sixteen in the World Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates won Group H despite losing 2-1 to South Korea in their last group stage match.
Meanwhile, Switzerland reached the last 16 after finishing second in Group G after beating Serbia 3-1 in a tough match.
Although the two countries have been drawn together in World Cup qualifiers four times, they have played each other only once in the finals when Switzerland won 2-1 in 1938.
It could be Ronaldo’s last World Cup match if Switzerland wins. The 37-year-old star striker recently left Manchester United when the English club terminated his contract after a long-running dispute.
In addition to Ronaldo, Portugal includes strikers Joao Felix and Rafael Leao. The Swiss will respond with several stars, including attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri and striker Brill Empolo.

Switzerland have reached the round of 16 in the previous two World Cups, in 2014 and 18, and reached the quarter-finals, their best ever finish, as hosts in 1954. Portugal’s best finish came in 1966 when they finished third.
