Curious Bill Clinton Game Awards shout-out ends with an arrest

The 2022 Games Awards had a very strange shout out to Bill Clinton which then ended in an arrest. Far from being a “serious” awards show, the Game Awards try to celebrate games, but also have some fun with them. That’s how we ended with moments like Joseph Fares screaming “f – k the Oscars!” On stage, Animal from the Muppets helps out with an award and more. It’s a silly show, but one that a lot of people would love to tune in to. Not only are our favorite games recognized, but we also get announcements of new games, some of which are big surprises and can “break the internet”.

However, the moment the Internet broke this year was not planned. After, after Elden ring It won the game of the year, a young man got on stage with some game developers. Nobody really noticed him, but he somehow managed to get up without anyone noticing. Once the developers finished giving their speeches, he walked up to the microphone and stated that he wanted to “Nominate this award for Reformed Orthodox Rabbi Bill Clinton, thank you all!” Then people quickly took him to the stage and Jeff Kelly closed the show without even acknowledging it. Keighley took to Twitter After the show to indicate that the individual has been arrested. So… that’s something!

Naturally, the internet ran away with the moment making all kinds of memes. Many people impersonate Elden ring to their memes, which is obviously very appropriate. It was strange and frustrating to see this happen. The show went off pretty much without a hitch and was minutes away from ending when this happened. It also ruined a moment for those developers who worked incredibly hard to bring players a game that will go down in history. That moment was spoiled by someone who wanted to make some weird joke, but that’s the internet!
