2022 saw the arrival of some major twists in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, with the shonen manga also continuing to explore Goku’s Ultra Instinct and Vegeta’s Ultra Ego in Granolah’s The Survivor Arc. With the manga set to return later this month with a story set before the events of the final film, the new art combines the Z-Fighters’ strongest and strongest forms, perhaps hinting at what’s to come in the series.
In the last movie, both Gohan and Piccolo manage to achieve their strongest forms yet in “Gohan Beast” and “Orange Piccolo” respectively, the latter being particularly noteworthy as this was the first time that a PIccolo was able to transform without fusion with Namekian Fellow. Unveiling the Orange Piccolo and the transformation that unlocks his potential Dubbed “Piccolo Smooth” by fans, Namekian is still far behind Gohan’s final form but has reached a whole new level thanks to his desire for the Dragon Balls. Neither Orange Piccolo nor Gohan Beast have found their way into the manga, and it may be a while before we see them, as the next arc will focus on Goten and Trunks prior to the events of Super hero.

at present, Dragon Ball Super She has yet to announce when her TV series will return, though there are rumors swirling that a possible spin-off series is in the works in the near future. With the main Shonen event, Jump Festa, scheduled for later this month in Japan, dragon ball It’s set to play a major role in the convention and might give anime fans a better idea of what’s to come.
One major transformation not shown in this art is Frieza’s terrifying newest form, Black Frieza, which made the alien despot the most powerful being in the universe, to the point where he was able to “one-shot” Goku and Vegeta in their Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego forms respectively.
