Hunter x Hunter The return has been one of the biggest stories in the anime world, as creator Yoshihiro Togashi returns to finish the succession contest arc in the pages of the shounen manga. While a live-action TV series and/or movie has yet to be released that will follow the story of Gon and his fellow hunters, a new live-action drama is set to arrive next May, and the production has released a new trailer to give fans a first look.
Dramas have been a huge part of animation in Japan, with franchises like Naruto, Beastars, Mobile Suit Gundam, My Hero Academia, Spy x Family, Attack on Titan, and many others who have received authentic products over the years. Ironically, this wouldn’t be the first time the Hunters had hit the stage as a machine gunner Hunter X Hunter Music arrived in the year 2000 which added a fun new layer to this powerful anime. When it comes to the upcoming play, the cast includes:

- Nichika Akutsu as Killua
- Yuki Ogoi as Kurapika
- Shuri Kondo as Leorio
- Keigo Kitamura as Silva
- Taizo Shiina as Zeno
- Cookie like Milwaukee
- Shougo Tazuru as Goto
- Yusaku Kawasaki as Hanzo
- Hiro Otaka as Netero
- Kanda Ueda as Illumi
- Haruki Kiyama as Hisoka

For now, new chapters keep coming in Hunter x Hunter manga, though the return of the anime adaptation has not been confirmed yet. With Studio Madhouse’s previous series coming to a close after the Election Arc, which was the story that followed the devastating events that occurred in the Chimera Ant Arc, there’s plenty of Yoshihiro Togashi’s source material begging to hit the small screen.
