Today’s Best NBA Bets (Jaren Jackson Jr Stays Hot Against the Bucks)

There are only four NBA games to go on Thursday night, but there are still plenty of props to bet on, and BetSided has a pair to love in the Memphis Grizzlies-Milwaukee Bucks matchup.

Jaren Jackson Jr. has been great since returning to the Grizzlies’ lineup, and Ben Hessler thinks there’s a way you can take advantage of his recent rush against the Bucks’ first defense.

With Jrue Holiday out of Milwaukee. Peter Dewey has his sights set on another Bucks point guard to have a big game tonight.

Jaren Jackson Jr. 22.5+ points, rebounds and assists (-110)

I might be walking straight into a trap line, but Garen Jackson Jr.’s number is pretty low given his recent production.

Jackson Jr. has a 90% hit rate, 22.5 rushing points, rebounds and an assist in nine of his last 10 games with the sole exception being 16 in early December versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It was incredibly effective too. Averaging the most points in the entire NBA with less than 30 minutes per game.

The Milwaukee Bucks are just outside the top 10 in speed, and while they are an outstanding defensive efficiency team, Jackson will need to make an impact throughout the game, so I expect more minutes tonight. – Ben Hessler

Jevon Carter 3.5+ assists (-115)

If you’re looking for an off-the-beaten-track prop, turn your attention to the Bucks’ matchup with the Grizzlies and bet on point guard Jevon Carter.

Carter may not be the typical player you look to bet on, but with Holiday out for the Bucks in this game, Carter will start at first, and he has thrived when Holiday is out of the lineup.

In the six games that Holiday missed, Carter averaged 6.8 assists per game at disposal with 3.5 dimes in five of those six games.

I don’t mind Carter’s points upside too, but he only hit three shots in his last game in lieu of a holiday, so assists are the safer route.

The Grizzlies have allowed a significant number of passes this season, ranking 28th in the league in opposition passes per game (26.4). Carter is averaging 3.4 assists per game this season, so he’s been a solid passing player even when Holiday plays. – Peter Dewey
