No. 10: Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 – Peach Momoko – Outfit B (1:200) | Marvel | 2022 | This 1:200 scale figure of Peach Momoko is just one of many in this new Spider-Man series. Fans have been picking up copies en masse as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is just around the corner, and Miles Mania is building up. Also, the first appearance of a new character appears in Raneem, who later becomes Rabel. Not much is known about Rable, but Momoko is a well-known commodity with a dedicated fan base, which has led to this book’s high percentage sales. We tracked it at a selling high of $235 for a preprint and NM FMV’s $222.

number 9: Star Wars: Darth Vader #3 | Marvel | 2015 | Dr. Aphra remains a popular personality with a lovable ongoing run. Fans have been excited to find out what happens next, and as her story develops, they tend to go back to her first appearance. It’s also set to be the latest installment of the Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes mobile game, adding to fans’ excitement for an evolving character that doesn’t have a Solo or Skywalker title. We tracked it to a high of $325 for a 9.8 CGC and a raw NM FMV of $119.

number 8: The first seven days #1 | bad idea | 2022 | Bad idea has some things going wrong. One of them is building the hype train for a book, both before and after its release. They’ve done something different with their latest release, secretly dropping this book under a fake publisher’s name and promoting it through Diamond Distribution. Once the cat was out of the bag, the community reacted accordingly by tearing up copies they could get their hands on in the aftermarket. That has slowed significantly from last week, but the trend continues. We tracked it at a sale high of $51 for a preprint and NM FMV at $31.

number 7: Infinite Crisis #5 – Jim Lee – Normal | DC | 2006 | Fans recently received some reassuring news. With the change in DC, many were worried that Blue Beetle would be scraped. Fortunately, this is not the case. Recently, a teaser poster for the upcoming movie dropped, depicting the Blue Beetle logo and a 2023 release date. Fans visited the aftermarket looking for the first appearance of Jaimie Reyes as Blue Beetle, the man behind the mask who is set to appear in the movie. We tracked it to a sell high of $195 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw NM FMV of $39.

No. 6: Dinosaur Moon and Devil No. 1 – Duton Akande (1:25) | Marvel | 2022 | Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur have been around for some time and have developed a following. Marvel has gone ahead and launched a new ongoing series to much fanfare, and this 1:25 Akande variant has been the apple of many collectors’ eyes. With TV adaptations set to debut on Disney Channel and Disney+ as early as 2023, many are wondering if Marvel will adapt this new ongoing series that aims to introduce the younger generation to a fun group of heroes. We tracked it at a sale high of $80 for a preprint and NM FMV at $70.

no 5: Daredevil #254 | Marvel | 1988 | Many fans were looking forward to the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil in any capacity. Since the announcement of Daredevil Born Again, small snippets of information have slowly reached the fanbase. One of the tales is the casting of Margarita Levieva as a love interest for Matt Murdock. Speculation began running rampant that she had been cast to play Typhoid Mary, who first appears in this book. Remember, this is just speculation, but some in the community didn’t mind and chose to pick up a copy. We tracked it to a high of $350 for a CGC 9.8 and a raw VF FMV of $24.

No. 4: Spider-Man: The Lost Years | Marvel | 1995 | Hallow’s Eve is set to receive its own title after the Dark Web story. Previously shrouded in mystery, she is revealed to be Elizabeth Tyne, formerly Janine Godby, who first appears in this book. Confusing, we know, but with word going and the reception of Hallow’s Eve going, fans of the character have continued the trend from last week by visiting the aftermarket to secure her first appearance. We tracked it to a sell high of $65 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw NM FMV of $15.

Number 3: Laknani X-Men #229 | Marvel | 1988 | This book was a key off the radar for years before Logan was released in theaters and the movie’s big bad, The Reavers, was unveiled. The Reavers first appeared in this book, and consisted of Pretty Boy, Bonebreaker, and Skullbuster. It also featured the first appearance of Tyger Tiger (Creative Mad), a criminal mogul based in Madripoor. Recently, speculation has begun that the announcement of Sandrine Holt’s casting in the Daredevil Born Again series could point to a live-action adaptation of Tiger Tiger. Society set about doing its job. We tracked it to a high of $200 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a raw FN FMV copy of $6.

Number 2: The Amazing Spider-Man #1 – Salvador La Roca – The Hustle. – Eminem (limited 5000) | Marvel | 2022 | This book has become a strange place of interest in the comic community. We rarely see longevity attached to a variable like this, but this book keeps cooking. With a cover showing Eminem doing battle with Spider-Man, a battle rap, this book did what many before it couldn’t. Reach out to multiple types of collectors to bring them together, aiming for that hard-to-get limited edition. Whether you are looking for Spotlight variable or first edition, these books quickly became expensive with healthy aftermarket. We tracked it to a selling high of $250 for an initial copy with a $176 NM FMV.

No. 1: The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing #3 – Lee Bermejo – Cover B | DC | 2022 | This book is the sequel to James Tynion’s ongoing Joker series, and this B-variant cover showcases the art of Lee Bermejo. Bermejo was the artist behind one of the most iconic iterations of the Joker in the graphic novel Joker, written by Brian Azzarello. Fittingly, he’ll return to character, delivering a visceral cover that can’t help but be tongue-in-cheek as it features Santa Joker with a tiny little red Robin on his lap. Fans are here for it, propelling this book to the top of this week’s Top Ten list! We tracked it at a sale high of $20 for a prime copy and NM FMV at $12.
