The final chapter of Avatar: Water Road It sees Colonel Quaritch (Stephen Lang) and his team of Marines (now cloned in the bodies of the Na’vi Avatar) set a sinister trap for Jake Sully and his family, by attacking Tolcon, Pandora’s version of the whales, who are spiritually connected to the whales of the Na’vi water tribe, the Metkayina, and have an enzyme that can Stop human aging. One of the outcasts Tulkon, Payakan, is linked to Jake’s son Lo’ak, but when Quaritch and the RDA manage to tag Payakan with a tracking device and mark him for death, the Sully children band together with the children of the Metkayina leaders to save him. Instead, Quaritch ends up capturing the Sully children and taking them hostage, forcing Jake and Neytiri to have one last showdown.

The final fight Avatar: Water Road He sees Jake, Neytiri, and Metkayina take on the Quaritch and the RDA’s massive naval vessel on the seas of the Pandora coast. The battle takes several turns to free the children and recapture them, but things take a tragic turn when Jake’s eldest son Neteyam is shot by RDA forces while hoping for his younger siblings to escape. Payakan, Jake, and Neytiri go ballistic on the RDA, sinking the attack ship and killing the entire crew (except for Quaritch, who narrowly escapes sinking).

In the aftermath of the battle, Jake and Neytiri bury Neteyam at sea, choosing to stay with Metkayina and defend the oceans against the RDA. The movie ends with Jake and Neytiri bonding to the Spirit Tree of the Seas, where they can visit their son’s spirit in fond shared memories through Ewa.

End Avatar: Water Road He ends the inner conflict Jake Sully feels about his responsibility as a father (protecting his family versus fighting darkness and oppression as a Na’vi leader), by making him realize that these two duties are in fact one and the same. The cost of this lesson was incredibly high, as Jake and Neytiri lost their home in the woods and their son.

but, Avatar 2Its end also leaves clear threads for line setting Avatar 3. The Avatar version of Quaritch didn’t die like Jake and Neytiri thought (again). The son of the original Quaritch, Miles “Spider” Socorro (Jack Champion), secretly saved his “father” from drowning and allowed him to escape and betray the finally fully accepted Sully family.

The symbol picture The sequel also answers the crucial question of who Sully’s adopted daughter Kerry (Sigourney Weaver) is. Kerry was born from the body of an avatar of Grace Augustine, but who she mated with like that could be a major revelation (especially if James Cameron goes for some kind of pure pregnancy storyline).
