The One Piece creator updates fans on the live-action series from Netflix

One Piece has been working hard on new live-action series with Netflix over the past few years, and the original creator behind the franchise has provided a major update on how the series is progressing! Netflix has released a slate of new live-action adaptations in the past few years, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon as the streaming service was ready to take live action on one of the biggest anime and manga franchises to date with Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece. But fans were curious as to whether or not this would lead to a relegation.

while One piece Fans were excited to see whether or not the live-action series would live up to everything seen in the original, it was even more exciting for series creator Eiichiro Oda. The creator has been heavily involved in the production of the live-action series as other members of his team have noted, and in a special message shared with fans during Jump Festa 2023 this weekend in Japan, Oda gave a promising update about the Netflix series.

What does the One Piece creator think of the Netflix live-action series?

“the One piece Hollywood live action movies are making progress,” Oda began in his message, referring to both One piece Projects are now in preparation for release next year. He also noted of footage shot from the series that, while he was worried about it at first, it seems “great” for the creator so far, “Right now, we’ve got basic footage for Season 1. But if I’m being honest, it’s the person who’s worried the most about it.” The world knows this is going to turn out so well is me lol…but it actually looks awesome!!!”

Unfortunately, Netflix’s One piece The live-action series doesn’t currently have a window or release date but it’s definitely making progress. Oda stars in the series alongside Matt Owens and Stephen Maeda as the series’ planners. The main Straw Hat cast includes the likes of Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Makinho as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Tazz Skylar as Sanji along with many others.
