As the prosecution moves to complete its case in the highly publicized criminal trial of Tory Lanez for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, they demanded additional testimony on Monday from LAPD Officer Sandra Cabral and DA Detective Jodi Little.
Little (whose September interview with Harris was shown in full to the courts on Dec. 16) has been called to stand by Deputy District Attorney Cathy Ta to review lyrics written by Meghan’s ex-girlfriend – and former aide – Kelsey Harris. The dis-track Harris released on his 2020 post-shoot titled “Bussin Back,” includes a direct reference to roadside assault: “(Who Shot Ya?)” Because you know it wasn’t me / It was 10 fingers. During cross-examination, Lenz’s lawyer asked Little about the song’s lyrics referring to Megan, whose birth name is Megan Pete, lying to the district attorney (“Imagine lying to a DA saying I took some hush money”). Harris also makes a reference to “Dez” in the track (“Dez said if you talk a sex tape can go down”), which is presumed to be Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, according to a report from Billboard’s Hiran Mamo.
Harris was not present at the court hearing on Monday, but Linz — real name Daystar Peterson — was present as he has been for the past five days of the trial.
Officer Cabral was called in for further questioning about the perimeter body camera footage, which was shown to the jury, that showed Harris on the night of the shooting. The scenes show Harris on the ground with Peterson and his driver nearby as they wait for police instructions, according to Law & Crime’s Megan Cuniff. Cabral described Harris as “dumbfounded” and “crying”, and was heard asking Pete if she was okay, to which Pete replied, “Yes”.
In cross-examination, Lane’s attorney, George Magdysian, asked Cabral if she had seen his client’s behavior, but she said her focus was entirely on Harris. Magdiciane also questioned Cabral about any ties to the DA, which she denied.

More witnesses are set to take the stand tomorrow morning.
