“Snowfall” premieres February 22nd on FX

The network announced that the sixth and final season of “Snowfall” will return February 22 at 10 PM ET on FX, and will air the following day on Hulu. The premiere will include the first two episodes of the 10-episode final season.

The final season begins in October 1986, as an escalating civil war threatens to end the Saint family. After being taken down by former CIA officer Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), Franklin (Damson Idris) becomes despondent and is forced to steal his own blood to move on. Now faced with the loss of everyone he loved and everything he built, Franklin must outsmart the KGB, DEA, and CIA, along with the LAPD’s corrupt CRASH units, to survive.

The drama series is created by John Singleton, Eric Amadeo, and Dave Andron, and is produced by Singleton, Andron, Thomas Chalamy, Amadeo, Michael London, Trevor Engelson, Walter Moseley, Julie DeJoy, and John Labruchere. Driss also works as a Producer. Andron serves as showrunner. “Snowfall” is produced by FX Productions.

Showtime and the NFL have announced that the documentary sequel “The Show: California Love, Behind the Scenes of Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show,” a look at the making of the special, will premiere on Showtime on December 23.

The 90-minute feature offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the iconic musical performance that starred Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent. The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show was Executive Produced by Emmy Award Winner Jesse Collins, Roc Nation, Produced by DPS, Helmed by Dave Meyers and Directed by Hamish Hamilton. The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show received five Creative Arts Emmy nominations, winning three including Outstanding Variety (Live), a first for the show.

Working alongside Jesse Collins in the production of the halftime show were musical director Adam Blackstone, creative director S. Devlin, choreographer Fatima Robinson, Dionne Harmon as co-executive producer, and Bruce Rodgers as production designer. The documentary, directed by Eric Parker, follows the network’s first installment of “The Show,” which featured a performance of the 2021 Super Bowl LV Halftime Show by The Weeknd. “The Show: California Love” is produced by Boardwalk Pictures.

The Television Academy has announced two newly elected governors for its Emerging Media Programming Peer Group, which replaces the Interactive Media Peer Group. Eric Chamelin, Executive Vice President, Global President of Entertainment at Media.Monks, will serve a two-year term. Kevin Dreyfuss, Senior Vice President, Digital Content and Games Studio at AMC Networks, will serve for one year.

In October, the Television Academy’s board of directors reorganized the “Interactive Media Peer Group” as the “Emerging Media Programming Peer Group,” reflecting significant changes in the television landscape since the previous group began more than 20 years ago. The cloud reorganization of emerging media programming is effective January 1.
