Everyone loves theme parks, especially Disneyland around the holidays, and that includes celebrities. The problem with celebrities, of course, is that it can be difficult for some people to simply enjoy a trip to Disneyland if huge crowds notice they’re queuing up next to a celebrity. There are two different ways this can be handled. Many celebrities get the special VIP treatment at Disneyland and other parks, but you can also do what Paris Hilton apparently does and go undercover.
Sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton were visiting the Disneyland Resort recently, and the two took the time to collect some time. Tik Tok A video, not surprisingly, went viral, in which Paris herself is bundled up in Disney merchandise in order to look less like Paris Hilton. Check out the results below.

I can stand behind some of these options. A set of mouse ears will definitely help someone blend into the crowd, as many people do. And the jacket and scarf will play their part in hiding the face. I’m not sure that makes it any less clear that this person is Paris Hilton. At the same time, it might prevent you from looking closely and realizing that you’re in a crowd with Paris Hilton.
There have been stories over the years of some celebrities doing something like this and dressing up in disguises to visit Disneyland or other theme parks. It is mainly required to prevent celebrities from being ridiculed. Mark Hamill talked about being in Disneyland, spending all his time taking pictures, which he probably didn’t want to experience as The Happiest Place on Earth. Not long ago, we had photographic evidence that Channing Tatum visited Walt Disney World in disguise.
Most of the time, however, a famous person who visits Disneyland gets the VIP treatment. They are usually escorted through the park by their own guide, dressed in recognizable plaid clothing, who makes sure they can ride without getting in trouble. This could have its downsides though. On a recent trip to Disneyland, the Kardashians went viral for having a crazy tea party, much to the frustration of the other guests.
There is a third, perhaps a little frustrating, option for some celebrities. Unfortunately, it seems that a popular person can get to the point where they are not popular enough to be teased. Billy Crystal recently went to Disneyland and told us a story that even when he’s doing his best, a Mike Wazowski impression next to someone he’s decorated with Monsters Inc. gear, not recognized.
As a general rule, if you find yourself next to a celebrity at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, leave them be. They just want to enjoy theme parks just like you do. Maybe give them a nod and smile and move on. Tell your friends later.
