Hideo Kojima believes he will continue to make video games as an AI in 100 years

Hideo Kojima believes we’ll continue to have more Hideo Kojima games long after he’s gone. Hideo Kojima is one of the most famous video game developers in the world and has been in the business for many decades. At the ripening age of 59, he still cooks sausage and arguably does more than ever. At the moment it is working on what was announced recently Death Stranding 2Xbox game, a death strand film, and a number of other projects that are in various stages of development. He keeps busy and it seems that not even death itself will be enough to slow him down.

when Talk to IGN In a recent interview, Hideo Kojima was asked about the philosophies he wants to leave behind at Kojima Productions 50 – 100 years from now. Of course, provided we don’t figure out a way to extend our lives in the next 40 years or so, Kojima will probably pass through that time scale. However, he plans to lead Kojima Productions for the rest of his life and has indicated that even after he is gone, he may have an AI take over and carry on his legacy and mentality.

“That’s a good question,” Kojima said. “I never really thought about it. I’ll keep driving as long as I’m around, and all I care about is that our roots when it comes to creation stay the same. But you know, maybe I will become AI and stay. You need to be motivated in a lot of different ways if you want to keep going.” Creating new things, so I imagine I’ll continue to collaborate with others and absorb new things even if I’m an AI.”

It’s the most Hideo Kojima answer you could expect. Is it real? I have no idea. Technology is developing at such a rapid pace that it’s not impossible to imagine Hideo Kojima’s AI being able to keep his ideas going. However, it is still likely to be in the distant future. However… what a concept!
