Flush defenses can be a winning strategy in fantasy football and the first unit to grab for Week 17 is Jacksonville. The Jaguars put up a defensive clinic against the New York Jets in Week 16, and now they’re ready for a massive title week game against the Houston Texans, who have the worst record in football.
There is a huge revenge factor in this game for Jacksonville because they are the only team that Houston has beaten this year. There is also a lot at stake for the Jaguars, who are in control of their own destiny in AFC South and can win the division by winning.
There wasn’t much foresight to discover Jacksonville, which is listed in only 17 percent of its leagues. Claiming Jaguars is a necessary move even if you have a good defense to prevent your opponent from using them against you.
