Just two days after hitting Netflix, the new Rian Johnson movie debuted Glass Onion: Takes the mystery out of the cutlery It dominates the Netflix Top 10 and is currently the #1 movie on the streaming device. Official viewing figures for the film won’t be released until Tuesday, but a big debut appears to be in the cards for a murder-mystery squad. Perhaps the least surprising thing about the top 10 movies on Netflix right now is that five of the ten titles are Christmas movies, and only some of them are Netflix originals. The most surprising thing about the top ten is what goes into the aftermath glass onionis none other than the 2022 horror movie from Sony the invitation.
That Johnson’s new movie is No. 1 isn’t much of a surprise. the original Take out the knives Starring Daniel Craig, it grossed over $300 million at the global box office and earned its way to an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Netflix quickly moved in to pick up a sequel to the movie, picking up Glass Onion and an upcoming third mystery titled Knives Out / Benoit Blanc that will also be released on the streaming service. In past interviews, Johnson has joked that he’s eager to keep exploring the franchise with new mysteries and new murders for as long as audiences are interested in watching, and they clearly are.
