Although only one team (the Chargers) on this one is still athletically in contention for a playoff berth, this can be fun. The Indianapolis Colts fired Frank Reich partway through the year and hired former longtime Colts center Jeff Saturday as head coach. This hiring was, in short, fun!
Saturday was seen as a huge wildcard hire as interim head coach, but he has led this team relatively well against interim head coach standards. Some speed bumps certainly did appear, but it wasn’t quite as catastrophic as some people predicted before he got on board.
Meanwhile, the Chargers will nearly seal a playoff spot with a win on Monday night.
Unfortunately, Manningcast wasn’t on ESPN2 this week, which is a shame considering Peyton Manning has played most of his career in catch from Saturday with the Colts. The game will be simulcast on ABC, but for those looking for local options to watch.

The Colts haven’t won Monday Night Football in nearly three years. They last won on January 5, 2019 (which was at the end of the 2021 season), beating Texas 21-7. While that game was played under the banner of the MNF, it was not a traditional game in the sense that it was a wild card, post-season game.
The last regular season game the Colts won against the MNF was in 2016, 41-10 against the New York Jets.
