Arby’s is celebrating the New Year with two new items

While most of the country is closed for the holidays, Arby’s wants you to know it’s not messing around. Before the calendar flips to 2023, the fast food chain announced it’s adding two new items to its menu at participating locations across the country. The first item comes in the form of the Spicy Roast Beef Sandwich, a sammie that’s somewhere between the chain’s classic Roast Beef and the new Diablo Dare. The sandwich features grilled beef with a special “fiery spice” before being placed on a bun with lettuce, jalapenos, and spicy mayonnaise.

The chain then offers an updated version of the classic White Cheddar Mac ‘N Cheese. In addition to the return of the white cheddar favorite, Arby’s is also bringing out Loaded Chicken Bacon Ranch Mac ‘N Cheese after successful testing earlier this year. As the name suggests, the new Chicken Bacon Ranch variety uses Mac’s white cheddar as its base before adding shredded chicken pieces, bacon, and ranch drizzle.

Both items are limited time offers while supplies last.

What is Arby’s Diablo Dare Sandwich?

Earlier this year, the chain officially unveiled what is believed to be the spiciest sandwich in fast food: the Diablo Dare variety. Available in both chicken and brisket varieties, the sandwich features the same fiery spices, plus spicy BBQ, ghost cheese, and chipotle red bun.

“We Diablo dare you to try this new sandwich,” Patrick Schwing, Arby’s chief marketer, said in a press release. “This is not a sandwich for the faint of heart. Everyone at QSR says they have a spicy option, but our research tells us that consumers are disappointed by claims of spicy fast food. We took that as a challenge by making sure all the different types of spice — spicy, narcotic, and edgy combined to make Diablo Dare a true test of how much heat you can take. Arby’s sets a new standard for seasoning—when we say it, we mean it.”

Diablo Dare is now available as a limited-time item on two occasions, making it possible to switch the series into an annual offering in the future.
