The Warriors bounced back after a poor end to their East Coast trip, winning two straight wins against the Grizzlies on Christmas Eve and the lowly Hornets on Tuesday night.
Stephen Curry is still sidelined with a shoulder injury for the Warriors on the second night of a back-to-back game, so will they struggle against the Utah Jazz? 500 Utah plays basketball in December, so can they get on track against a potentially short-handed Warriors team?
Here are the odds for Wednesday’s match:
Warriors vs. Jazz Odds, Spread and Gross
Anticipation of the Warriors vs. the Jazz and the selection
Be sure to keep an eye on the injury report for the Warriors, who could sit out like Draymond Green and Klay Thompson for the second night of a back-to-back game, but I think we can count on the points on this one.
The Jazz defense slumped in December, 21st in points allowed per 100 possessions as the team plays at a pace in the top 10. The Warriors will be willing to meet customers of the track, and play at their fastest pace in the month of December. We’ve also seen their defensive struggles recently as well, allowing 130 or more passes to the Knicks and Nets last week.
Meanwhile, both offenses rank in the top 12 in effective field goal percentage this month and should get sets in groups.
The pace, the kicking and the leaky defense made me think this match would be a penalty shootout on Wednesday night.
