Now, the easiest way to read this answer is: If she didn’t know what was going to happen in the show’s future, she probably wasn’t involved in it in any direct capacity. Even if Summer was used for a very limited narrative arc that set her apart from all the other characters, with Taylor Sheridan by default only sending text pages with her scenes and no other characters, that would mean she still knew Something About the back half of the season.

But the loose end here is that she is legally bound to Farm Y via house arrest, so leaving by any means other than death would be either returning to prison or fleeing as a fugitive, neither of which seems right. What makes sense here, of course, is that Piper Perabo is in the same boat with fans when it comes to the high levels of anticipation wrapped around waiting for the show to return in early 2023 with the remaining episodes of Season 5. We’re right there with her for this as we also wait to see if Kai Caster’s comments about Rowdy’s death really relate to the implications for Rip and Beth’s future.
