Why was Andrew Tate arrested?

Tate, 36, and his brother were arrested over an investigation into allegations of human trafficking and rape.

The statement claims that the victims were deceived “into believing that they intended to enter into a marriage/cohabitation relationship”.

In 2022, Tate’s home was reportedly raided in Romania over similar allegations that were later proven untrue.

The arrest comes shortly after Tate assaulted Greta Thunberg on Twitter. A DIICOT spokesperson said the pizza boxes in Tate’s video of Thunberg did not play a role in the arrest.
