The Dungeons & Dragons Spellcasting star is compared to Doctor Strange

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Movie star Justice Smith found an interesting way to separate their spelling from other popular movie magicians like Doctor Strange. earlier this week, Collider posted an interview With Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Stars Judge Smith and Reg Jean Page. In the interview, Smith and Page discuss the use of magic in film, with Smith noting one way he tried to separate his hand gestures (also known as somatic components) from other film magicians. “I do a lot of spells in the movie, and I worked with this beautiful choreographer to create unique gestures for each spell,” said Smith. “And I know a little bit of sign language, so I try to incorporate that [into] He. She. Whatever the spell is, I’m trying to incorporate the word in sign language into the gesture of this spell. Not for every gesture.

Page then compared Smith’s movements to those of Doctor Marvel Strange, saying “Take that, Doctor Strange. He’s actually spelling out words.”

I hate [in] Movies, when they have magical powers, and they go like that [gestures vaguely with hand]Smith continued, “I was like, ‘I want everything to be unique and iconic. ‘” So, remember the word uttered in the incantation that corresponds to which gesture, at what time. I think it wasn’t difficult.
