They still need to win two more games, but Georgia will have to be huge to repeat anyway.

While the Georgia Bulldogs still have two more games ahead of them, it would be even more shocking if someone besides Kirby Smart won the 2023 College Football Playoff.

Georgia is the defending national champion. The Dogs haven’t lost a game in a year. They are riding the nation’s best 15-game winning streak. Of course, they still have to beat No. 4 Ohio State in the Peach Bowl and then either No. 2 Michigan or No. 3 TCU in the national title game in Los Angeles to be the first team since 2011-12 Alabama to repeat that. College Football Champions.

Here are a few that I keep coming back to that lead me to believe Georgia will likely repeat.

Why Georgia should be seen as a frontrunner for a repeat

3. GEORGIA LIVES TO PLAY WITH HER FOOD, BUT CAN LEFT OUT OF HER OWN DIFFERENCE

One of the things that was an issue with the national championship winning team last year was that the 2021 Dogs were largely untested throughout the campaign. They usually blew everyone they played, but that caught up to them in the SEC Championship game against Alabama. Fate would have had it, and the bitter taste of defeat propelled them into the play-offs and propelled them into the season.

Where it was different this year is that Georgia has been tested by the opposition, much of it of its own making. After blowing out Oregon and South Carolina in the first quarter of the season, the Dawgs have occasionally had problems with teams like Kent State, Missouri, Kentucky, and even Georgia Tech. In short, the Dogs lived to play with their food, but perhaps more out of boredom than anything else.

Admittedly, it sounds stupid, but what those instances did is create an artificial sense of the hardships this team had to overcome. Dogs will sharpen and realize they will not let an inferior team beat them. While this has not been the case against teams that Georgia has a lot of respect for, we do know that the Dawgs are capable of overcoming adversity from within.

Simply put, if the game gets tight, Georgia won’t bat an eyelid in the face of adversity.
