WWE’s AJ Styles reveals injury condition

Fans who attended a WWE live event in Hershey, Pennsylvania the other day saw the referee flash an X symbol after AJ Styles appeared outside, meaning it was a legitimate injury. Fans were worried and hoped Styles would be okay, and The Phenomenal One released an update on his health and injury on Twitter. Styles revealed that he broke his ankle, but also added that luckily he wouldn’t need surgery. He has said that this will be his longest time out of the ring and thanked the fans for all their support.

Styles wrote on Twitter “Just want you to know I’m fine. Broken ankle is what I’m dealing with. No surgery, this just takes a while to recover. This will be the longest I’ve ever been out of the ring. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.”

Styles was involved in a match alongside The O.C.’s Karl Anderson and Mia Yim, and they were feuding with Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest at Judgment Day. After Styles fell on his leg, Bleacher Report’s Erik Beston posted a photo of Anderson and Yim kneeling on either side of Styles, which was when the X symbol was placed.

It’s unfortunate that Styles will be out of action for a while, because that likely means he’s going out for the Royal Rumble, which takes place at the end of January. However, fans will be excited to see him make a full recovery and get back in the ring, and we wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

As for the Rumble, the qualifying matches will start soon on Raw and SmackDown, but there is only one match set for the card. That would be Knight vs Bray Wyatt’s LA match, as Knight challenged Wyatt to a match at Rumble during last night’s SmackDown. Unfortunately, the return of Uncle Hoody followed, and although Hoody was on Wyatt’s side at first, the shadowy figure hit Wyatt with Abigail’s sister and left the ring. It looks like they’re ready to make Wyatt’s life difficult over the coming weeks, too, but we’ll just have to wait and see how that goes.
