Blowout Game Hosting Limited Sale Offers on PS4, PS5 Games and More

The year 2022 is officially over, which means it’s almost time for the annual sale from Limited Run Games. Set to take place on January 2nd, the sale will run for 24 hours, giving fans a second chance to get rid of leftover copies of the company’s games. As with previous years, quantities will be very limited, so those interested will want to be ready to go when the sale starts at 12 PM ET. Standard games will be featured in the sale, as well as the Relic Collector’s Editions, including the following:

  • Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game: KO Edition (Nintendo Switch, PS4)
  • Castlevania Anniversary Collection: Ultimate Edition (Nintendo Switch, PS4)
  • River City Girls: Collector’s Edition (PS5)
  • outlast the first and second Morkov Files Edition (Nintendo Switch)
  • The house is in Fata MorganaCollector’s Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Players who feel lucky can also roll the dice on the blind boxes. Blind boxes for Switch, PS5, PS4, PS4 SteelBooks and soundtracks will be offered. The publisher teases that the blind boxes will include “remains of some of the rarest and most exclusive limited-running editions,” so it might be worth the gamble.

For those unfamiliar with Limited Run Games, the company specializes in small physical prints of games you might not otherwise receive. Typically, a company will keep pre-orders open for a game for a set number of weeks, and then start production based on the number sold. Some extras are produced and kept in the warehouse in case of damage or loss during shipment, and then those limited leftovers are sold at the end of the year. Usually, buyers have to wait a very long time for games to be shipped, but this waiting time will be much less for these games, as they are currently on hand. LRG has made it explicit that some of these games will have fewer than 100 copies on sale, so those interested in holding off on one particular game will have to act quickly.
