Falcons vs. Warriors forecast and odds for Monday, January 2nd

The Golden State Warriors have quietly won four straight games, even without Stephen Curry, and they’re at home against the Atlanta Hawks Monday night with a chance to bring that up to a five-game winning streak.

Golden State has been great at Chase Center, as usual, this season. The team is 16-2 at home, but a shocking 3-16 on the road. A literal tale of two teams this season.

The Hawks, who have performed slightly below expectations so far this season, have lost three straight games and lead only 6-11 on the road this season.

The Warriors will drop some players, including Curry, in this game. Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Cuminga, James Wiseman and Jamical Green were all disqualified from Monday’s competition.

Atlanta is looking to right the ship, and the team is just a 1.5-point dog in this game. Could turmoil loom at Chase Center?

Hawks vs Warriors prediction and selection

The Warriors have a 9-4-1 on point difference as the favorites this season, and I absolutely love them winning this game and continuing their climb up the Western Conference standings.

Atlanta has been much worse than their record would suggest, ranking 23rd in the NBA in net rating and really struggling to play efficiently on offense (21st in offensive rating).

That will create a problem when you’re in the Golden State, as the Warriors are ranked 2nd in the NBA in defensive home runs and 4th in net rating.

Jordan Paul and Klay Thompson have both scored highly recently, and the team has gone on a small winning streak without Andrew Wiggins.
