Fans of Yellowstone Season 5 are mad at the long wait for the return

Yellowstone He returned from a short vacation break Sunday night to air “No Knife and No Coin,” the mid-season finale of Season 5 with the episode setting up a potentially explosive confrontation within the Dutton family as Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) formally moves him into pursuing impeachment charges against his father, Montana Governor John Dutton (Kevin Costner). With the Duttons now at war with each other and the fate of the ranch – and the family’s legacy – in the balance, fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the popular series’ return for the remaining episodes of the season. Paramount delivered that Sunday night as well, announcing that the series will be returning this summer and fans are getting angry at the wait. Warning: Spoilers for the Season 5 finale Yellowstone beyond this point.

Shortly after Paramount Network released a teaser telling fans that Yellowstone will return with new episodes sometime this summer — no specific return date has been set — fans took to social media to express their annoyance at the situation. For many, the prolonged wait for new episodes is a situation that feels less like what they got was the mid-season finale but a season finale, while others resent having to wait at all now that war is going on between the Duttons – especially since WWII. The episode saw Beth (Kelly Reilly) not only confront Jamie, but learn about the infamous “train station” and all the murders the family carried out and go one step further to suggest to her father that perhaps it was time to take Jamie to the train station himself.

Fans aren’t thrilled, but they’ll have to wait until summer to see how that plays out. You can read only a few of their reactions on the long wait for the rest Yellowstone Season 5 is below and be sure to tell us your thoughts in the comments section as well.
