The death was announced by her former classmate DJ Paul. He posted a picture of her on Instagram and there were plenty of messages of condolence in the comments from the other stars.

Mysterious death

The circumstances surrounding her death are as mysterious as they come. Sources suggested to TMZ though that the rapper’s death may have been drug-related.

She was with her brother Sunday night at a local concert in Memphis and her brother started to overdose in the night and had to be taken to the hospital.

He managed to recover from the overdose, but sources indicate this gangster booHer death scene confirmed the presence of drugs on her person and that a fentanyl-laced substance could have been the cause of death.

It is believed that the police have launched an investigation and an autopsy will need to be conducted to reveal what really killed Gangsta Boo.

She started her career right in the 90s and joined her Paul, Josie J and the other founding members of the Three 6 Mafia.

She was one of the only female rappers in the group and made herself a part of the group for many successful years.

At the same time that she was recording Three 6 Mafia’s first five studio albums, she was also releasing her solo albums.

She left the group in the early 2000s but continued to find success while creating her own music which included albums and mixtapes.
