James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, and Guillermo del Toro are having some pretty amazing years in 2022. Cameron has released one of the highest-grossing films of the year, Spielberg has delivered a semi-autobiographical story set to compete strongly at the Oscars, and del Toro has finally completed a project. eager to get close to global acclaim. It’s clear that these three have a lot to talk about during the upcoming meeting of their “secret movie club” which seems to be something that is out there and that we want.
Talking to young stars Jaime Flatters and Billy Bass, who play Nateam and Tsiria Avatar: Water Road, CinemaBlend’s Sean O’Connell learned from Flatters that the three accomplished directors, who are very public friends, also have something of a secret. Flatters explained that while he wasn’t aware of any specific feedback del Toro had given Cameron about the new symbol pictureHe knew that the three principals had a secret club together, saying…

It is unclear exactly what form this secret film club will take. Maybe they just have a regular group text chat or video call to talk about movies. I choose to believe that they meet once a month and watch old movies with a big bowl of popcorn.
When you’re a director on the level of Spielberg, Del Toro, or Cameron, it would be nearly impossible for these three to avoid knowing each other, but beyond that, it’s clear that there are genuine friendships between them. As friends, it’s not entirely shocking to see these three get together and talk about movies—the relationship between Cameron and Del Toro is about as personal as it gets, but Billy Bass definitely felt that this “secret movie club” was really meant to be kept a secret.

Who knows what these three geniuses in their club were talking about, but one would have to assume that they must criticize each other to some extent. From all indications, James Cameron appears to be very happy with a new movie. With the movie on the verge of breaking $1.5 billion at the global box office, most people seem happy with it.
