Today’s Best NBA Bets (Keep Ride the Jordan Poole Train)

Looking to get in on some NBA support action Monday night?

With 11 games on the docket, it’s time to find some props, and BetSided duo Peter Dewey and Ben Hessler are looking at two late-night games to pick.

There’s a rebound brace for the newbie that Dewey loves, and a value line on the three-star brace. Let’s dive into:

Score today’s best NBA prop bets so far

Best NBA prop bets today

  • Jalen Doreen over 8.5 rebounds (-130)
  • Jordan Paul over 2.5 3-Pointers (-165)

Jalen Doreen over 8.5 rebounds (-130)

This is the final rebounding point for rookie Jalen Duren, who was limited to just 13:31 of playing time in his final game due to a foul problem.

The Detroit Pistons rookie averaged 11.4 rebounds per game in 12 games as a starter this season, and that counts his no-rebound game on New Year’s Eve!

Duren has canceled out that total in eight of his 12 starts, and I also don’t mind his assists and rebounding props (over 10.5 in +100 in the DraftKings) in this game. Doreen cleared that streak in 10 of his 12 starts.

The Portland Trail Blazers are a solid rebounding team, but this streak is pretty low for Duren, especially since he’s been averaging over 10 boards per game with this expanded role. – Peter Dewey

Jordan Paul over 2.5 3-Pointers (-165)

Most books have already boosted that number to 3.5, and while I still think he plays at positive odds, 2.5 on the board is still pretty low for Paul when the Golden State Warriors host the Atlanta Hawks this evening.

He is currently in a range of matches where he has made 10 or more 3-point attempts in four of his last five attempts and six of his last seven attempts. While he only passed 2.5 in two of those five games, he was depleted 5 of 10 in his most recent home win against the Portland Trail Blazers, as the Warriors are now undefeated since Christmas.

Curious about where all these games are played? In San Francisco, where the Warriors, despite all the injuries, are still 16-2 straight at home, compared to 3-16 on the road.

They shoot better, they play better, and now they’re up against the Hawks who averaged 129.5 points for two bad teams in their last two games versus the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers.

I’ll get a better number and I’ll pay the right price on Poole to keep the fire going. – Ben Hessler
