3 Caleb Williams Cotton Bowl plays that will have NFL teams

Caleb Williams is on track to be the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Teams that see these highlights from the Cotton Bowl should tend to the tank.

Caleb Williams is the symbol of cheating on the football field.

He’s the closest thing to Patrick Mahomes college football has ever seen and he proved it with more outrageous plays in USC’s Cotton Bowl loss to Tulane.

While the Trojans fell to defeat, no one was able to put them at the feet of their quarterback, who played after play his way to 462 yards and five touchdowns.

So let’s take a look at those top must-have plays for NFL scouting directors, managers, managers, and mouth-watering offensive coordinators for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Just remember while watching these highlights that Williams hasn’t recovered to 100 percent from the hamstring injury that held him back in his 12 title bouts. He did all this while remaining somewhat limited as a runner. He has more to give on earth.

This routine completes 59 yards while putting up the right

Williams methodically drove USC down the field for its opening touchdown in 17 plays, so his big throw of the day went to Tahj Washington on third and fourth late in the first quarter.

The kind of arm talent needed to throw that pass with pinpoint accuracy while rolling like that is ridiculous.

That crazy conversion third and 22nd

One of the most devastating aspects of Williams’ game is his ability to extend plays. He did it in the third and twenty-second, evading pressure, taking time, and then giving his receiver a chance on the field.

Brenden Rice’s catch was impressive. The quarterback made it possible.

This finished 74 yards from his own endzone

The sophomore quarterback standing in his endzone kicked a 74-yard punt to move his offense down the field in actual condition.

That’s just ridiculous.

This TD spills to the left and throws over his body

Rice came up with another massive play for the Trojans and his own QB on this one, but first Williams made something so difficult look easy.

Most quarterbacks simply can’t rotate away from a defender, then roll left and throw a perfect pass through their body for a touchdown.

Williams especially. The NFL and whoever has the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, when eligible for the draft, will see him get a generation player.
