It’s like, “Do you want to spend your life doing that?” with these people? Yeah. I would like to come. I will really do it.”

Barrymore has also said that she’s also open to other movie projects that don’t necessarily have to do with Charlie’s Angels – especially if it involves Adam Sandler. Barrymore previously starred in 50 First Dates, Blend, and The Wedding Singer.

The original film was described, “Steve Martin and John Candy star in this hysterical tale of travel gone awry. Neil Page (Martin) is a high-strung advertising executive trying to get home to Chicago for Thanksgiving with his family. Upon being redirected to Wichita, Neil teams up on reluctantly pairs up with Del Griffith (Candy), an obnoxious but likable salesman. Together, they embark on a cross-country adventure filled with outrageously funny situations and a generous helping of warmth.”

While chatting with Adam Sandler on The Drew Barrymore Showthe host admitted,[Diaz] I have discussed rephrasing Planes, trains and cars, and I was like, “Well, you know, Adam and I are talking about it.” Rather than a complete re-imagining, Barrymore admitted that she wanted to pass on the source material, noting, “I want to play John Candy.” “
