The NFL world was praying for Damar Hamlin Monday night after a Bills safety collapsed on the field and was hospitalized in critical condition.
Fans watched helplessly as Hamlin was loaded into an ambulance and sent to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Then they decided to do the only thing they could: support Hamlin by supporting his charity.

The link to Hamlin’s GoFundMe “The Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive” It quickly spread all over social media. Rival fans called for donations and they came quickly.
The campaign goal was $2,500. It was reaching over $730,000 with more than 30,000 donors by 10:45 p.m. ET. It was rising every minute.
In a terrible situation, fans got together to do something beautiful.
“As I begin my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I came from and am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me,” Hamlin wrote in the fundraiser’s info section. “I created The Chasing M’s Foundation as a tool that will allow me to make this impact.”
The NFL suspended the game after the defensive back injury and issued a statement saying Hamlin was in a critical condition in the hospital.
His marketing rep issued a further update revealing that Hamlin’s vitals had returned to normal but that he had been placed under a breathing tube and had further tests.
