The Grizzlies head to Charlotte in a heated race for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, could they gain ground on the Nuggets?
It’s been a lackluster season in Charlotte for the Hornets as the team sits at 10-28 with key players in and out of the lineup like LaMelo Ball and Jordan Hayward. Now, hosting a 23-13 Grizzlies who have lofty goals this season and an elite defense since the return of Jaren Jackson Jr., can they keep it up on Wednesday on the road?
Here are the odds of this match:

Grizzlies vs. Hornets prediction and selection
Grizz should roll in this game because JJJ has been one of the most impactful defenders in the league this season. He’s missed nearly half the season, but boy has he been dominant, Memphis allows 9.5 fewer points per 100 possessions when he’s on the ground, in 96 percent according to cleaning the glasses.
Overall, Memphis has the second-best defensive rating this season now that he’s back in the fold. They will face the Hornets who are fifth in the defensive rating and will struggle to keep up with the Grizzlies given that the Hornets are dead last in the offensive rating.
I’m not going to think about this, Charlotte is not competitive right now and I don’t expect her to start on Wednesday. Put it with Memphis.
