The new year has started with a bang, and My hero academyThe creator of this 2023 mega-hit series with some special improvements in Rabbit Hero Mirko is getting ready for a great start! My hero academy He has a lot in store for fans this year with the manga’s final chapter continuing with its latest chapter, and Season 6 returning this month with new episodes adapting the beginning of the final chapter. The creator behind it all is well aware of what could come for the franchise in the coming year, and decided to celebrate in style.
As you can see below, the creator hit Twitter with a special sketch he drew and signed in honor of the new year. There Mirko is put in the spotlight because 2023 is the year of the rabbit. Our favorite heroes joined her, and funnily enough, the cosplay session forced Horikoshi to share some eye-catching comments.

“Sorry for the delay, but Happy New Year! I’ll be counting on your support this year too. I copied the outfit the anime account made for Mirko, and I love it,” Horikoshi wrote. “Mirko is a bunny-themed character, so for the Year of the Rabbit, I wanted to get everyone dressed up in her having fun. Surely this isn’t just an excuse because I’m bad at drawing kimonos and other long-sleeved garments.”

You see, the poster shows Mirko in a gorgeous kimono that suits her style even if it’s a bit restrictive for her taste. Ochaco lives with some mocha while Jirou goes along with the shoot. As for the boys who chose to wear the Mirko costume, well — Horikoshi said they all stand guard to prevent any NSFW slipping in their bodysuits.
Of course, the cosplay tribute is cool, and fans are eager to see what Mirko gets up to during the Year of the Rabbit. The anime is more attached to the heroine despite her great fight in season 6, and the manga is also keeping an eye on the pro. So if you haven’t been into the series, you better binge in 2023!
