A one-night stand-up “Women Talk” off-Broadway event is set in New York City

MGM’s Orion Pictures and Audible Theater have teamed up on “Women Talking: An Evening of Wild Female Imagination,” a one-night-only theatrical special event at Audible’s off-Broadway Minetta Lane Theater in New York City. The January 9th event will feature director Sarah Polley and cast members Jesse Buckley, Sheila McCarthy, Michelle MacLeod, Liv McNeil, August Winter and Kate Hallett in an evening showcasing three new works based on the film.

Playwrights Sandra Delgado, Ruth Tang, and Brittany Allen wrote pieces based on the film It centers around the idea of ​​women coming together to decide what is best for their community. The evening will also include a conversation with Polly and the playwrights, led by Tony Award-nominated and Pulitzer Prize-nominated Heidi Schick. Zoe Chao is also part of the programme, performing a monologue by Brtittany Allen. Two-time Tony nominee Eva Noblezada will perform “Future” by Billie Eilish.
