Warning! The following contains spoilers for Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test Episodes “Personality Test” and “Vulnerability”. Read at your own risk!
If anyone believes Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test It would make it easier for the celebrities involved in the two-hour premiere, they were wrong. The Fox reality series proved to be just as brutal as it was advertised, and while we knew in advance that one of the contestants was mauled by the white penis during filming, there were plenty of shocking moments in the early episodes that led to several celebrity exits.
And just as it happened, one of them left voluntarily. The rest, while they wanted to participate, were not medically cleared to continue. This is absolutely outrageous for a show with celebrity contestants, so let’s run down the list of people who can’t stay.
Kate Gosselin – Medically attributed
Reality TV star and celebrity mom Kate Gosselin She wanted to prove that she could overcome her insecurities, and to her credit, she was successful. Despite her fear of heights and water, she glided backwards from a helicopter into the water to complete the first challenge. Soon after, however, Mama Colin Joslyn Others complained to a doctor of severe neck pain. She was eventually medically withdrawn from the competition due to a suspected broken neck, though viewers never received official confirmation of the break.
Drew Pinsky – medically withdrawn
celebrity specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky I managed to complete the first challenge, but like other celebrities such as the NBA star and ex The Masked Singer contestant Dwight Howard They were doing their best for what lay ahead of them, Pinsky looking noticeably ill. He went to the medical tent and was eventually diagnosed with severe heat exhaustion. Pinsky was not medically cleared for follow-up and was sent home.
Tyler Florence – voluntarily withdrew
one rule of Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test Is that celebrities reserve the right to quit smoking of their own free will. chef Tyler Florence He exercised this right when he saw the rope challenge he and others had to complete, which involved balancing through a canyon with two ropes and a harness. Florence explained that he had promised his wife before leaving that he would not be hurt by the competition and had handed his number to a supervising staff member. Of the competitors who took part in the challenge, none were injured.
Montel Jordan – medically withdrawn
Singer and pastor Montell Jordan He talked about looking for something more real than what he accomplished with his hit single “This Is How We Do It,” and he sure got that while Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test. Jordan managed to make it through to the final challenge of the episode, which was an exercise in quickly transitioning from violent to calm. Jordan unleashed his aggression on the volunteer fighter, but injured himself in the process. He lost the ability to hold anything in one hand and was medically withdrawn with a suspected broken thumb.
As mentioned earlier, Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test It is not a joke. I’m so excited to see how many celebrities make it to the end of this contest I’m almost considering rewatching through my Hulu subscription to see who seems likely to advance the furthest based on those first two episodes. This two-hour premiere saw no previous athlete fall, but could they be next?
Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test Back to Fox on Wednesdays in the regular airtime at 9:00 p.m. ET. Tune in to a show that just kicks off the 2023 TV schedule with a bang and is already on my shortlist of new shows I want to see renewed.
