Vaulted Suspect: A man accused of setting fire to a house where his wife slept has barricaded himself in Spring, Pct. 4 says

Spring, Texas (KTRK) – Harris County Sheriff’s Department 4 deputies are in the midst of a confrontation with an armed suspect who has barricaded himself inside a home in the Spring area.

There is a heavy law enforcement presence in the 3200 precinct of Lotus Blossom Street, Constable Mark Hermann’s office said Thursday, referring to a call to prevent domestic violence.

While details are limited, the Fourth Circuit arrested the suspect the day after Christmas on charges of assault. He was later released on bail, authorities said, and is now charged with aggravated assault and arson after intentionally setting fire to a haunted house.

The Harris County SWAT team is responding to the scene and authorities are urging people to avoid the area.
