Quentin Tarantino Announces Seven Best Hollywood Movies | Movies | entertainment

If Quentin Tarantino hadn’t become one of the most celebrated directors in Hollywood, he admitted that he might have been a film critic. After making nine of his planned ten movies, the 59-year-old turned his hand to writing books. After the novel Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the filmmaker also penned a book of essays, Cinema Speculation. And during his promotional tour, he recognized what he believed were his seven best films.

According to Tarantino’s new book, there are “very few perfect movies,” but The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of them. Previously speaking with Jimmy Kimmel, the host asked him about other perfect movies.

The director said, “Look, when you say perfect films, you’re talking about anyone’s aesthetic but until you try to account for all the aesthetics… Perfect films kind of override all aesthetics to one degree or another. It might not be your cup of tea but there’s nothing you can say.” to bring it down.” Then he went to name it.

Speaking on CinemaBlend’s ReelBlend podcast last year, Tarantino said, “I think Jaws is the greatest movie ever made. Maybe not the greatest movie. But it’s the greatest movie ever made. And then there are other movies that can swell in rarefied air. But.” As far as the movie goes, there’s nothing that makes it better than Jaws. There’s no ‘better’ than Jaws. It’s the best movie ever made.”
