Tchia, pronounced “Che-ia”, is the name of the heroine who lives on a beautiful archipelago inspired by New Caledonia, the home of the developer. Exploration is a key component of the Tchia experience. You can climb any surfaces you see, and there is a great deal of flexibility in the paraglider, so you can show off your acrobatic skills in the air in different ways. On land, you can also show off these skills in diving competitions and through a variety of mini-games such as races, shooting ranges, and claw machines. These mini-games, along with many other challenges across the lakes, will give you various useful items to help you customize Tchia and her glider, or advance through the story.

The most defining aspects of Tchia are Soul-Jumping and Harp. The first is the ability that allows you to control any animal or thing and use their abilities, and yes, you can turn yourself into a coconut. The latter is your fully playable music tool. It will allow you to recreate many famous traditional melodies, and multiple events will teach you specific compositions that will affect the world around you in different ways just like Zelda The Wind Waker.

Tchia would include the region’s unique vocal talents, including Drehu (an ancient New Caledonian language) as well as French. The developers have also taken great care to make each NPC unique, and to make each side quest reflect the culture of the island, so players are encouraged to go 100% and immerse themselves in all the unique content that only Tchia can offer.
