One of the best ways to become stronger is to level up. Whether you’re leveling up your base stats, talents, or weapons, you’ll likely need to visit several areas of the game. Each field comes with its own set of challenges. Here’s what you need to know to complete the Court of Flowing Sand field.

Domain overview

The Court of Flowing Sand is a great field choice for weapon upgrade materials. It has four levels of difficulty, each with its own mix of enemies and challenges. For the most part, you’ll encounter a mix of Slimes and Abyss Mages, with the last difficulty layer adding Hilichurls and Metachurls.

The main items enemies will use are Hyrdro and Pyro. You’ll want to bring along Electro, Pyro, and Cryo characters to do the most damage. For the third and fourth levels, there are additional benefits if you use a geographic letter. Doing so will generate elemental shards that cause shockwaves and deal additional damage, but ultimately this feature is not vital to success and can be skipped if necessary.

domain strategy

No matter what level you approach, you’ll be able to apply the same basic strategy. Since you’ll be facing Slimes first, focus on taking them out before moving on to any of the other enemy types. At first, Pyro Slimes are the first to enter the arena, and using electric attacks on them can be particularly devastating because they will deal excess damage, and electricity will chain between enemies. Eventually, Hydro Slimes will join in, and at some point you’ll probably have a Pyro and Hyrdo attack together. Electrical attacks work well in this case, but you can also use Cryo if you prefer.

After defeating a few Slimes, a Pyro Wizard and Hydro Abyss will appear if you are on level three, or Hilichurls and Metachurl will appear if you are on level four. These enemies are much stronger than Slimes and can take you down easily if you are not careful. Focus on taking out one of them first, especially if you’re fighting the wizards of the abyss because their shields make them particularly annoying. After you take down one of the elite enemies, the other one will easily go down.
