Hulu’s new comedy series “Extraordinary” brings humor and heart

Los Angeles — Imagine living in a world where everyone gets superpowers when they turn 18, except for you! This is what happens to Jen in Hulu’s new series “Extraordinary.”

Jane, played by Mairead Tires, is stuck in a dead-end job and would like to turn her life around, but feels that her lack of strength is holding her back.

“I think her point is that it would change her life if she got the power,” Tyers told On The Red Carpet. “I think she would like to use her power to do something because she thinks it will make her feel good. I don’t think it will make her feel good.”

Her friends can fly, travel back in time, turn into a cat and steer the dead, but there’s one superpowered co-star Luke Rollason who said it’s not explored this season and he’d like to see it.

“Imagine if the people around you were a musical,” Rollason suggested. Tyers’ co-stars Sophia Oxenham and Bilal Hasna agreed, and had some ideas of their own, as you’ll see in the video above.

“Extraordinary” is now streaming on Hulu.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Hulu and this ABC station.
