Lenovo ThinkSmart View Plus 27″ Monitor with 4K Camera, Soundbar, Android, $2,345.

A monitor designed specifically for Microsoft Teams that features a 4K camera, an array of four microphones, and a soundbar and costs just over $2,000.

Ahead of next month’s Mobile World Congress, Barcelona is hosting another well-known trade show, Information Systems Expo Europe (ISE) 2023, which is described as “the world’s largest AV integration exhibition”. The annual event takes place over the next four days, and as you might expect, there are some interesting products being announced.

Lenovo is present and announced its new ThinkSmart View Plus monitor, a purpose-built product that gives users anywhere easy access to collaborate using Microsoft Teams. The company describes the ThinkSmart View Plus as a “stand-alone collaborative display” that delivers premium audio and video. Furthermore, the display is a product specifically designed for “hot desk, phone booth, executive desk, and home office” use.

The screen is powered by Android and uses Microsoft Teams for collaboration and meetings. In addition, the screen can be connected to a computer to function as a normal screen, but it can also be used within Teams to enable screen sharing for the computer, allowing users to remain engaged in a Teams meeting, while also sharing content from the computer. It will also support input from the pen, allowing users to draw ideas using Microsoft’s Whiteboard app.

When it comes to specifications, the 27-inch FHD display is powered by Qualcomm’s QCS8250 SoC and has a 4K camera that can be upgraded when necessary. It also has a four-microphone array and a detachable speaker bar that can also be replaced and upgraded. As for ports, you’ll get an Ethernet jack, HDMI, DisplayPort, two USB-A ports, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will also offer support for Wi-Fi 6.

In terms of pricing, this thing isn’t going to come cheap, at $2,345. But if this is something of interest to you or your company, you can buy it from Lenovo starting in mid-2023.
