Cameras are always a focal point when a new flagship phone comes out, especially when it comes from Samsung. With Galaxy S phones among the usual suspects when we rank the best camera phones, we’re especially curious to see how the new models compare to what Apple and Google have on offer.

Last few years Galaxy S22 The series actually has a significant zoom advantage over these competitors, especially the Ultra model, which offers two telephoto lenses that offer 3x and 10x optical zoom, respectively. These lenses are slated to return to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, so expect Samsung to do well in almost any comparison.

The real story here is 200 MP front camera, which should not only take 200MP photos, but take advantage of pixel binning for brighter, richer images. We’ve summed it all up Galaxy S23 camera features are rumoredincluding what we’ve come to expect from the less expensive Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus models.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 doesn’t launch until later in the day (6pm for early UK readers). But in the run-up to the show, we expect to see the last minute leaks.

Case in point, the 128GB Galaxy S23 could come with slower storage than the 256GB models. This is due to the 128GB model using UFS 3.1 storage, rather than the faster UFS 4.0 standard. Realistically, expect the Galaxy S23 with UFS 4.0 to load apps and files faster.

Good morning, and welcome to Samsung’s first big launch day of 2023. Today we expect to see the Galaxy S23 lineup, as well as the Galaxy Book laptops.

Will there be some surprises? Well, we don’t know, but Samsung could have something up its sleeve to tease what’s coming in 2023. Otherwise, expect a deep dive into new flagship phones and great new laptops.

Samsung plans to stream the Galaxy Unpacked from its Samsung Newsroom site. You can also see files The official Galaxy Unpacked livestream on YouTube (Opens in a new tab) Or via the feed embedded above.

Here’s what we expect to see in Galaxy Unpacked.

Samsung Galaxy S23: The entry-level model in Samsung’s flagship lineup, the Galaxy S23 will hopefully retain the $799 starting price of its predecessor. (The leaked pricing data gives us hope, at least in the US.)

Like every phone in the Galaxy S23 lineup, this model should have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset to power its new phones, with some rumors claiming Samsung will be getting a customized version of the new silicon. This should lead to some performance improvements over last year’s models, but we’re also very keen to see if the power efficiency promised in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 results in better battery life for Samsung phones.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: You’ll find everything the Galaxy S23 has in the Galaxy S23 Plus, only here you’ll get a 6.6-inch screen instead of the S23’s 6.1-inch panel. We do not expect major changes in the rear cameras in either the Galaxy S23 or S23 Plus, but rumors indicate that there is an upgraded front camera for these phones.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: This should be the focus of advertisements for Samsung phones. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to get a 200MP main camera, which should be quite an upgrade over the 108MP sensor that the Galaxy S22 Ultra used. Add the usual 6.8-inch screen with a refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz, and you have a device that can potentially compete for the title of best phone overall.

We’ve rounded up all the last-minute rumors about the Galaxy S23 so you can know what to expect when you head to the Galaxy Unpacked.

Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra: Let’s talk about potential laptop announcements, with the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra in the lead. Rumors tout this as a particularly thin laptop that also boasts power under the hood. We expect to see 13th generation Raptor Lake Intel CPUs, as a matter of fact.

Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360: In addition to the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, we expect to see several more laptops during Galaxy Unpacked. Let’s start with the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, which is the 2-in-1 version of the latest Galaxy Book that also runs on the 13th generation Intel CPU. Another potential entry to consider is the Galaxy Book 3 Pro. We can also see the standard versions of both the laptop and the 2-in-1 model.
