WWE’s Fallon Henley and Keanna James became the new NXT Wives Women’s Tag Team Champions at Vengeance Day

The WWE NXT Women’s Championships were on the line on Vengeance Day, and Kayden Carter and Katana Chance weren’t about to let their impressive reign end. They came as favourites, as they are a well-oiled machine, and it didn’t help that their rivals Fallon Henley and Keiana James had some misunderstandings early on. Despite those initial issues, James and Henley showed how lethal they could be as a duo, though the champions did show their chemistry at several points throughout the match. Henley and James did not go down though, and after Chance was pushed off the top rope, James helped hold Carter’s legs as Henley pinned her, giving them the win and making James and Henley the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

James started the match against Carter, and Carter taunted slightly before being kicked out of the ring. Carter then taunted James by hitting Jensen in the backside and he was once again in the ring accidentally tagged Carter. Serendipity hit that stunning move off the ropes and covered James, but was knocked out and tagged in Henley.

Henley then had a misunderstanding with James allowing Chance to escape, but they regroup and don a double outfit of champions. They got back on their feet though and hit Henley with a blanket, but she was knocked out. James then tagged inside and hit Chance in the back, then she dropped Chance with a suplex to the cover but she was kicked out. Carter dodged a punch from James and then Chance was thrown into the challenger’s corner.

James kept attacking and then Henley tagged in and hit it with a pin but the champion kicked it out. Henley closed Opportunity by holding her in the middle of the ring, this continued for a bit, robbing Opportunity of her speed, but she managed to flip Henley and crawl towards her corner. Henley managed to brush it off but she still made the tag and Carter hit both Henley and James into the corner.

Carter kicked James and punched Henley and then she delivered a big kick on Henley while also tagging Chance. Opportunity then hit a hard punch on the new tag team and rolled Henley into it. James tagged in but was hit with a sweet tag team move from Chance and Carter. She was able to hit Carter and go to get a pin, but she is knocked out. Carter accidentally threw it into the air and Opportunity bumped, but James got on her knees and dealt some damage to the champ. Henley tagged and slammed Chance with James’ help, but Carter saved the day and broke the pin.

Carter hit a middle cutter and took James on the outside, and Chance and Henley traded blows in the ring. Shell blocked Henley but Carter got in and she climbed to the top and tried to pull Henley up. Henley blocked it and headbutted Carter. Henley punched Carter but ended up on her shoulders, then Chance sent her staggering towards the mat in the cover. Somehow though, Henley gets kicked out.

James pushed Chance off the top rope to the outside, covering Henley Carter. James then grabbed Carter’s feet and held them both without seeing the referee, and Henley got the 3 count and the win. Carter was furious and so was Chance, but James and Henley were now the new NXT Women’s Champions! You can find the full card and Vengeance Day results below.
