A writer of Quantum Leap confirms the major change from the original series

NBC is bringing classic sci-fi to a whole new generation with… Quantum leap the reboot, which has already become a smash hit since its debut last fall. The series has been remixing some elements of the franchise’s canon in some unexpected ways – and that seems to involve ditching a key element from the original series. In a new interview with TVLineAnd Quantum leap Writer, actress and director Shakina Naivak revealed that the waiting room does not exist in the new incarnation. The rest of the team at HQ includes Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park), who runs the AI ​​unit “Ziggy,” and Gene Chu (Nanresa Lee), who heads up digital security for the project. As Ben leaps from life to life, righting what went wrong, it becomes clear that he and his team are in for an exciting journey. However, Addison, Magic, Ian, and Jane know that if they are going to solve the mystery of Ben’s jump and bring him home, they must act quickly or lose him forever.
