Elvis’ Incredible Generosity: Cousin King Shares Five More Facts | music | entertainment

Danny Smith enjoyed the privilege of spending his childhood living in Graceland where his father, Billy Smith, cousin of Elvis Presley, worked for The King as one of the original members of the Memphis Mafia. The generous star bought a trailer for The Smiths to live in at his Memphis mansion, and Danny would enjoy hours playing with Lisa Marie and the other kids throughout the grounds, often riding golf carts. The singer’s close relative shared five other little-known facts, highlighting just how tender Elvis can be and also how much Lisa Marie could indulge their mischievous actions together.

Speaking on the Memphis Mafia Kid YouTube channel, Danny said: “When Elvis bought our trailer and took Mom and Dad out shopping for furniture, he had already got a metal peacock and he stuck one through the wall, and he stuck it himself, with a hammer, right through the peacock. [On another occasion] Elvis had ridden three-wheelers with my dad and some other guys and watched me practice soccer… Elvis’s name is M,E and I’m proud of that, Danny Mac. “

The royal relative then shared a hilarious story about Lisa’s pony and how incredibly generous the star was to him.

Of King’s generosity, Danny added, “When we were in Palm Springs, Elvis and Rory and Laura and Lisa gave me $500 to go shopping.”

This is not surprising given that the star often gives cars to friends, family, and sometimes strangers. Linda Thompson also recounted how he would gift her expensive jewelry sometimes even when it was not Christmas, a birthday or an anniversary. In fact, Elvis was so generous during the holidays when he donated thousands to charity that he was nicknamed Santa by his inner circle.
